WHAT THEY’RE SAYING ABOUT CAREER DIRECTION!

Shannon LeJeune has been a vital part of my career. Her coaching sessions were invaluable in helping me get several promotions. When I decided, though, that it was time for a career change, she counseled me through it every step of the way. I have since landed a job that is perfect for me. While I hope not to be changing jobs anytime soon, I still call on Shannon for career advice, whether it be a sticky office situation or how to word something. She knows the "ins and outs" of the professional world better than anyone I know. It doesn't matter what the field....marketing and business, information technology, non-profits and higher education. She just gets it!

I highly recommend Career Direction!  A little under a year ago, I was working in a dead end job. As a recent college graduate, I was basically just tossing my resume to anybody who was hiring, with no results. With the guidance of Ms. LeJeune, I was able to job-hunt much more effectively with the newly built confidence of taking charge of my career. Today, I am pleased to say I accepted a great job in a company whose environment was a perfect fit!

I graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a B.S. degree in Science and Computers, but I graduated with no idea what direction I wanted to take in respect to my career. To be honest, I am still not sure where I want to be, but it was through the resume building exercises and mentorship from Shannon that I gained the confidence to apply for the jobs I deserved. I am currently a sales professional, and enjoy my job a great deal. It is a springboard job for whatever I do next because no matter what, everything we do is about selling ourselves and showing others that our passion for our work merits others support and business partnership. Shannon has no equal in her passion and dedication to her work, and there is no way to measure how important her guidance has been to my current and future success.

Thank you for all of your wonderful advice and support! While working for you as an administrative assistant at the University of Utah, you steered me in the right direction and helped me achieve my goals that put me in the position that I am in today.

Identifying strengths and maximizing them is crucial for success in any field. In the late 1980’s, Shannon LeJeune took a chance and hired me as a contract manager for an environmental consulting business, a field for which I had no direct experience. Her confidence in my ability to transfer my skills helped me recognize and develop my abilities.  I gained job satisfaction, enhanced my expertise, and built a successful career as a highly valued executive contract negotiator at both the national and international level.

I’m sure Career Direction can help you, too!  After being hired for my first professional job more than 20 years ago, I was told  they hired me in part because they were so impressed with my resume, cover letter, and thank you letter for the interview. I have Shannon LeJeune to thank for that. She taught me how to prepare the complete job hunting package of resume to acknowledgement. I have used it with great success since then.
